Database Administrator – SQL & Epic EHR Direct Hire | Healthcare | Tulsa, OK
AtWork Personnel is seeking an experienced Database Administrator – SQL & Epic EHR for a direct-hire opportunity with a major healthcare organization in Tulsa. This position is ideal for a database professional with healthcare experience who enjoys solving complex problems, improving system performance, and protecting critical data.
What You’ ll Do- Manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise databases to ensure performance, reliability, security, and data integrity.
- Design and implement database structures based on organizational and business requirements.
- Monitor database performance and tune SQL queries and configurations.
- Maintain and update SQL code, troubleshoot errors, and enhance database functionality.
- Implement security measures, including access controls and encryption.
- Develop and maintain database backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Troubleshoot database issues to minimize downtime and potential data loss.
- Analyze existing systems and recommend enhancements and solutions.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to identify database needs.
- Plan for future database capacity, storage, and organizational growth.
- Help maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards and assist with audits.
- Minimum 3 years of database administration experience
- Healthcare industry experience required
- Bachelor’ s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator – SQL certification required
- Strong SQL/database administration and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to analyze complex systems and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
