Certified Medication Aide; Sat- Sun

The Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a dual‑certified role responsible for providing high‑quality resident care in alignment with the organization’s mission, values, and regulatory requirements.

• Under the supervision of the Nurse, assist with medication administration and provide treatments according to physician orders and facility policy.
• Complete and document assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including light housekeeping, changing linens, making beds, tidying bedside tables, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Provide direct care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, mobility, and feeding.
• Assist residents with transfers, ambulation, and use of supportive devices employing proper safety techniques.
• Attend and participate in facility meetings and in‑service training programs.
• Practice good infection control techniques in all aspects of resident care.
• Prepare residents for meals, and assist with serving meals and feeding as needed.
• Observe residents’ rights, including privacy and dignity, and promptly report changes in condition, behavior, or functional status.
• Safeguard the resident’s privacy and property.
• Participate in the orientation of new or temporary staff to ensure continuity of resident care.
• Promote positive public relations with residents, family members, and guests.
• Provide restorative care as assigned or indicated by the overall plan of care.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certifications (preferred).
• Certified CPR (preferred).
• 0‑1 year of related work experience.

• Effective communication with residents and healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge of medications, their purposes, dosages, routes of administration, and potential side effects.
• Knowledge of privacy regulations and patient confidentiality.
• Record‑keeping skills for accurate documentation of medication administration and patient responses.
• Ability to educate patients about their medications.

• Stand, sit, talk, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
• Lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight up to 100 lbs.
• Operate various equipment as required by the department.
• Hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds (e.g., alarms).
• Maintain near and far visual acuity (20/20 or better at appropriate distances) and adequate peripheral vision.

Pay Range: $15.28 – $20.34 per hour.
