Job Summary
Provides informal supervision of habilitation coaches, fundamental nursing services, behavioral training, and plans outings/activities for the clients of the cottage. Requirements: CMA certification or willingness to obtain CMA certification, ability to work any shift with primary assignment as 2‑10, and availability to participate in on‑call staffing and/or assistance.
Duties & Responsibilities- Provide informal supervision and effective leadership for habilitation coaches.
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and delegate responsibilities.
- Coach, teach, and build teamwork; communicate effectively.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, residents, and families/guardians.
- Ensure staff completes documentation; organize and provide resident services without immediate supervision.
- Conduct behavior training and physical care following written plans, record data, and reinforce training.
- Initiate and maintain an active environment with treatment activities designed to maintain and expand resident skills.
- Administer medications and treatments, observe reactions, chart information, and ensure proper ordering and placement.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions, meetings, and services; provide problem‑solving support.
- Maintain a safe, clean, working environment; care for residents’ clothing, maintain kitchen, make beds, clean spills, etc.
- Perform the function of a job coach when working with vocational services.
- Individuals hired or promoted to House Manager must have successfully completed all training requirements established by the facility.
- House managers must maintain all qualifications, including certification as a CNA and a CMA. Advanced CMA finger‑stick and nebulizer certification preferred.
- Required CMA certification or willingness to obtain CMA certification.
- Ability to work any shift with primary assignment as 2‑10.
- Availability to participate in on‑call staffing and/or assistance.
