Qualified Social Worker needed for our Children in Our Care team in Blackburn with Darwen, paying £39 ph!

• Pay:£39 per hour
• Contract: Full-Time / Temporary

Blackburn with Darwen Children’s Services is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Children in Our Care Service. This role focuses on supporting children through care proceedings and achieving long-term permanence.

You will work with children subject to care proceedings, ensuring their welfare, voice and best interests remain central to all decision–making. The role requires confidence and experience in court–related practice, including the preparation and presentation of high–quality evidence.

• Undertake comprehensive child and family assessments, with robust analysis of risk and need
• Prepare high-quality court documentation, including statements, chronologies and evidence‑based care plans
• Complete parenting assessments where required
• Provide clear, confident evidence in court
• Develop SMART, outcome‑focused Care Plans and Pathway
• Plans to promote permanence
• Undertake child protection enquiries and assess levels of risk
• Ensure children’s wishes and feelings are central to all work
