Guest Service Assistant

This stylish hotel is off the M65, ideally located on the border of Hyndburn and Blackburn located within the Frontier Retail Park. Local attractions such as Blackburn's historic cathedral, the Blackburn Museum & Art Gallery, King George's Hall, and Blackburn Empire Theatre are only a 10-minute drive away.
The hotel encompasses 150 bedrooms and has substantial parking available for big group bookings. The hotel has a friendly, upbeat, comfortable feel and embodies Hampton's culture of Hamptonality perfectly. Our team will welcome you with a bright smile and are multiskilled to support you on both the reception desk as well as in our lounge, bar, and during breakfast. There is a spacious lounge area where guests can enjoy a relaxing drink and some food, or they may choose to take advantage of the onsite gym.

The spacious and friendly lounge area is the perfect setting to meet with your family, and friends, or to organise a small meeting with a client or colleagues.

This is a varied and guest-focused role where you'll be at the heart of the hotel operation, providing a warm welcome, supporting guests throughout their stay and helping to ensure every visit is memorable.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Welcome guests and create a positive first impression of the hotel

  • Support guests throughout their stay, responding to enquiries and requests professionally and efficiently

  • Manage check-ins, check-outs and reservations in line with company standards

  • Provide information about the hotel, local area and available services

  • Handle guest feedback and elevate concerns where appropriate

  • Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the Front Office and wider hotel operation

  • Process payments and maintain accurate guest records

  • Ensure public areas and guest-facing spaces remain welcoming and presentable

  • Support revenue opportunities through upselling and promoting hotel services

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver exceptional guest experiences

What We're Looking For
  • Previous hospitality, customer service or Front Office experience is desirable but not essential

  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences

  • Friendly, confident and professional approach

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment

  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Positive, proactive and team-focused attitude

  • Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
