We're recruiting Highways Operatives to join our growing highways vegetation team. You don't need years of experience. If you're hardworking, reliable and happy working outdoors, we'll provide training and support to help you build a long-term career.

What You'll Be Doing
Working on highways projects across the UK, you'll help keep roadside vegetation safe and under control by:

  • Cutting grass and clearing vegetation
  • Operating strimmers, brush cutters and blowers
  • Feeding wood chippers
  • Assisting tree and hedge clearance teams
  • General site maintenance and litter clearance
  • Working safely as part of a professional team

Most work takes place at night, helping keep road users moving while works are carried out safely.

Who We're Looking For
You may be a labourer, grounds worker, landscaper, farm worker, warehouse operative, construction worker or simply someone who enjoys practical outdoor work.

We're looking for people who are:

  • Reliable and willing to work hard
  • Team players with a positive attitude
  • Happy working outdoors in all weather
  • Comfortable working night shifts
  • Willing to travel to different work locations

No experience in highways? No problem. Training can be provided for the right candidates.
A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.

  • Brush cutter / Strimmer
  • Wood Chipper
  • Highways Passport
  • CSCS
  • LANTRA Training
  • Basic Chainsaw Maintenance
