Position: Surveyor Tech-Kiewit Nuclear Solutions-Idaho

Position Overview

We are currently looking for a Survey/CAD Tech to support our projects in the nuclear solutions group. The CAD Tech is responsible for performing survey calculations, plotting detailed design drawings, reading plan sheets, preparing quantities, checking design drawings and various other technical tasks.

This position will be located in Blackfoot, , USA.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare survey calculations, drawings, and exhibits using CIVIL3D and other MECT standards/guides with designated software (AutoCAD).
  • Continuously review and modify submitted drawings.
  • Review drawings and apply changes based on field input from project managers and engineers.
  • Work closely with department managers and engineers.
  • Maintain quantity books for major volumes and keep red‑line and as‑built versions of the project.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
  • Experience with AutoCAD (Civil 3D) or TBC software is preferred.
  • A survey/engineering background is preferred.
  • Micro Station software experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Perform work safely and effectively, following all oral and written instructions, warning signs, equipment use policies, and other guidelines.

  • May work at various locations; conditions may vary.
