Job Summary:
Have a diverse understanding of multiple roles within the plant in order to cover absences.
Essential Functions:
- Efficiently operate and understand all cheese processes and equipment including:
Intake, HCV, Tables, Towers, Boxer, Quick Chill, Robot, Separator, and RO/UF - Collect and analyze assigned in-processing samples
- Monitor operation of equipment and make appropriate adjustments to produce top quality product
- Troubleshoot problems with equipment as needed
- Assist all plant employees to keep work area clean and uncluttered
- Safely handle, measure, mix, and dispose of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals used in the Clean-In-Place (CIP) process in accordance with established procedures, safety data sheets (SDS), and company safety policies.
- Know and complete all duties of all employees and Team Leader while they are on vacation or out on personal time
- Perform duties in safe manner on variable shifts
- Monitor & report all product spills, safety hazards, and equipment problems
- Take an active role in team participation (HACCP, Food Safety etc.)
- Work in accordance with Glanbia core values
Each employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act which are applicable to his/her own actions and conduct. Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance)

Qualifications:
- Accurate in taking samples and performing tests
- Computer experience helpful
- Cannot have any lifting restrictions
- Must be dependable and trustworthy
- Ability to operate (or learn to operate) necessary equipment as assigned
- Excellent attendance, punctuality and safety record required
- Ability to stand and walk the entire shift if needed
- Ability to read and write instructions in English
- Knowledge of the proper use of all cleaning chemicals
- Must be able to work weekends, and overtime as required
Physical Requirements:
Frequently (51-75%) use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Stand, walk (and lifting? See above)
