Position SummaryThe Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth experience. From triage and labor support to delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care, you'll play an essential role in ensuring safe, compassionate, and family-centered care.
Working collaboratively with physicians and the healthcare team, you'll provide evidence-based care while creating an exceptional birth experience for every family.
What You'll DoMaternal & Newborn Care• Provide nursing care in Labor & Delivery, Triage, Postpartum, Nursery, and the Operating Room as needed
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for mothers and newborns
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery
• Assist physicians during deliveries and obstetrical procedures
• Recognize and respond appropriately to changing patient conditions
• Educate and support families throughout pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
• Promote breastfeeding education and Baby-Friendly practices
• Provide compassionate emotional support during one of life's most meaningful experiences
• Foster a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for every patient and family
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
• Support a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and clinical excellence

Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
• Current Idaho Registered Nurse (RN) License required
