Blackpool | 8-week temp-to-perm | £35-£45 per hour | £40,000 salary on permanent contract
Are you an experienced Electrician / Electrical Installation Engineer looking to come off the tools and move into a stable, rewarding career in education?
An established training provider in Blackpool is looking for a Lecturer in Electrical Installation to join them on an initial 8-week temporary contract, with a clear route to a permanent role paying £40,000. Full training and support will be provided for candidates transitioning from industry (no prior teaching experience required).
The Role
Deliver practical and classroom-based sessions across Electrical Installation
Support learners working toward industry-recognised qualifications
Help prepare learners for real-world site expectations, safe working practices, and best-practice installation standards
Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback in a supportive learning environment
The Person (Ideal)
Proven hands-on experience in Electrical Installation (domestic / commercial / industrial)
Relevant industry qualification (e.g., Level 3 or time-served equivalent)
Keen to move into training/education and mentor the next generation
No teaching qualification needed initially - training will be provided
What's On Offer
£35-£40 per hour during the initial 8-week temporary period
Opportunity to go temp-to-perm
£40,000 salary once permanent

Able to obtain an Enhanced DBS check
