Post Award Associate - Sponsored Programs Management Overview
The Office of Sponsored Programs at Virginia Tech is seeking a Post Award Associate in Sponsored Agreements Management to join a team of research administrators. The role involves advising and assisting faculty and staff with award administration, ensuring compliance with university and sponsor policies, procedures, and requirements.
Responsibilities include managing a portfolio of awarded sponsored programs, ensuring proper stewardship and use of resources, and facilitating timely closeout in accordance with award terms. The associate will collaborate with Principal Investigators, departmental contacts, and funded sponsors to effectively administer grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements.
The position involves working closely with post award/assistant directors and team leaders in coordination and operations, as well as assisting with team member training. The associate should demonstrate organizational skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and apply their skills and experience to review research grants and agreements, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and university regulations and guidelines.
This position offers flexible work arrangements: onsite (Blacksburg, VA), hybrid, or remote, subject to a telework agreement per Policy 4325. The final work arrangement will be confirmed upon hire. The role includes competitive benefits such as health, retirement, leave, and more.
