Job Description
The Staffing Coordinator with Aramark at VA Tech Athletics is a full‑time position and is responsible for administrative tasks including, but not limited to, recruiting, staffing, onboarding, employee/NPO Check‑in, etc. The Staffing Coordinator will work well with customers, visitors, and employees in a professional and cheerful manner. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

- Assists in aspects of hourly and non‑profit organization recruitment, including posting job requisitions, scheduling interviews and hiring fairs, sending paperwork, and onboarding.
- Assists the staffing team with event preparations and on‑site event day check‑in support.
- Communicates event details to employees and non‑profit volunteers.
- Completes event day preparations including creating staffing assignments, scheduling employees in the payroll system, and supporting other departments with employee compliance.
- Performs event day operations including set up, employee check‑in, roster reconciliation, and closing duties.
- Responsible for performing administrative functions including distributing mail, ordering, and stocking supplies, answering phones, and greeting visitors.
- Assists management with clerical tasks in relation to accounting, payroll, receiving, or human resources including filing, data entry, record review and maintenance.
- Greets customers, clients, and employees; answers inquiries or directs calls where necessary.
- Maintains office memos and informative postings.
- Operates technology, systems, and software such as voicemail systems, copy/scanners, personal computers, and MS Office. - Must be at least 18 years of age (required).
- Prior administrative experience preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Microsoft applications, including but not limited to:
Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as the Google Suite. - Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Has the ability to work quickly and accurately and demonstrates attention to detail.
- Requires frequent performance of repetitive motions with hands and/or arms.
