Summer Day Camp Counselor

Overview

We are looking for a reliable full time Summer Camp Leader. The leader will work closely with the other teachers in conducting daily duties such as serving meals, transporting children, engaging in play, assisting children as needed throughout daily activities, guiding children through field trips, creating a safe environment, and helping lead activities.

To be successful as a Summer Camp Leader, you must possess a passion for children and exercise patience with them. You should display a friendly and positive attitude and greet parents and children by their name. Ultimately, you should constantly monitor and supervise the children in your care to ensure their safety. Previous childcare center experience is a plus but not required.

• Providing support for co-teachers.
• Monitoring and supervising the children constantly.
• Maintaining a safe and positive environment.
• Cultivating relationships with children, parents, and guardians.
• Alerting the co-teachers to emergencies.
• Preparing and serving meals and snacks.
• Greeting parents and addressing children by their name.
• Adhering to procedures when transporting and caring for children while on field trips.
• Assisting with classroom and playground activities.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• First Aid Training recommended.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must meet state-specific guidelines.

• Monday to Friday (Full Time)
• No weekends
• Expected hours: 40 per week
• Pay: $12.50 - $14.00 per hour
