We are currently searching for TWO Assistant Deans for Off-Campus Student Support; one position will focus on the general undergraduate student population on the main Blacksburg campus, and one position will focus on graduate, professional, international, and transfer students at the main Blacksburg campus and the Health Science and Technology campus in Roanoke. HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

ABOUT THE ROLE:

1) You'll be joining the Dean of Students team; a department committed to offering care and support to students in flourishing personally, academically, and socially.

2) You'll be reporting to an Associate Dean of Students, in a Regular twelve-month, 100% administrative professional appointment.

3) You'll support and engage off‑campus students through targeted services, outreach, and transition programming, while building strong connections between the university and the local community.

4) You'll have the chance to grow and take advantage of a developmental plan with opportunities to advance within the Department and the Division.

5) You'll be offered a base compensation package between $65,000 - $75,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package which includes health insurance, paid leave, retirement, tuition assistance, VT discounts, and so much more!

Required Qualifications

* Master's degree

* Professional experience supporting and assisting students

* Demonstrated experience leading others

* Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

* Ability to work effectively with a variety of different student populations

* Experience working collaboratively with others

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience supporting off-campus, international, graduate, or professional student populations.

* Familiarity with food access initiatives, basic-need services, emergency funding processes, and scholarship programs.

* Knowledge of best practices in non-clinical case management.

* Prior program development, case management, or staff supervision experience

* Familiarity with relevant software systems (e.g., EAB Navigate, Banner, Maxient)

* Familiarity with care and support frameworks and/or student development theory

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, some nights and weekend responsibilities
