The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking an Instructor for the Department of Philosophy at Virginia Tech, starting August 10, 2026. The successful candidate will teach a 4–4 undergraduate course load including foundational philosophy courses and participate in department service. A PhD in Philosophy or a related field is required by the time of appointment, along with demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring students.

The salary ranges from $50,000 to $55,000, commensurate with experience.
