Primary Responsibilities- Develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.
- Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher’s License with appropriate endorsement for the area to which you are assigned.
- Possess knowledge of medical aspects of disabilities and their implications for instruction.
- Possess knowledge of resources and techniques needed to integrate special‑education students into the least restrictive environment.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials.
- Possess ability to effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction.
- Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning.
- Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes, collaboration, and managing coursework.
- Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students.
- Communicate effectively with strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Engage and collaborate effectively with parents and families.
- Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities.
- Hold a master’s degree in Education.
$53,889.00 – $87,325.91 annually, with benefits; commensurate with experience.
