Assistant Director of Academic Integrity for Educational Initiatives – Virginia Tech
Office of Undergraduate Academic Integrity seeks qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Director of Academic Integrity for Educational Initiatives. This role focuses on leading university efforts to educate the campus community on academic integrity, supporting a culture of honesty, and developing assessments, programming, marketing, and outreach.
Responsibilities- Lead and implement strategies designed to educate the campus community under the direction of the Director of Undergraduate Academic Integrity.
- Develop and lead assessment, educational programming, marketing, and oversight of faculty and student outreach programs.
- Engage closely with the Virginia Tech Community for education surrounding academic integrity and cultivate a culture of faculty and student support.
- Maintain a direct working relationship with other key stakeholders at the University.
- Function at a high level of independence grounded in understanding policies and procedures related to student disciplinary matters.
- Require occasional night and weekend work.
- Master’s degree in student development, counseling, educational leadership, public administration, communication, English, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of best practices in academic integrity.
- Experience working with faculty in a higher education environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate at the highest levels of the university.
- Strong written, oral, organizational, management and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service in an academic or professional office environment.
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and timely decision‑making practices to accomplish organizational goals.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Previous experience in higher education with faculty outreach, student conduct, housing and residence life, and/or a role that requires extensive collaboration between academic and student affairs.
- Experience teaching or advising within an academic program in higher education.
- Exempt:
Not eligible for overtime. - Appointment type:
Regular. - Salary: $58,350.
- Hours per week: 40 hours per week; M-F 8:00 a.m.
-5:00 p.m.; occasional night and weekend work. - Review date:
April 27, 2026. - The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
