Moog Inc. Space and Defense Group offers a culture of trust and a focus on innovation. Our Space & Defense team in Blacksburg is looking for a Slip Ring Design Engineer to help develop high‑reliability slip ring assemblies. The role requires onsite work in Blacksburg, VA.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, aeronautical engineering, or related discipline.
• Three years of experience in design and analysis of precision rotating electromechanical equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical design, packaging, electrical and analytical skills.
• CAD/CAE experience (UG NX desirable).
• Understanding of machine/manufacturing capabilities and drafting standards.

• Establish concepts and requirements to support design efforts in mechanical, thermal, and electrical disciplines.
• Interpret customer specifications and act as primary interface with suppliers and customers.
• Collaborate with designers, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, and technical writers.
• Lead designs from bid proposal through detailed development, production drawings, documentation, to production build and test support.

  Monday–Thursday 9‑hour shifts, half‑day Friday.

Blacksburg, VA $70,000–$100,000 annually.
