Moog Space and Defense Group, part of Moog Inc., seeks an Industrial Engineer to enhance manufacturing efficiency and cost reduction programs. The position is onsite at Blacksburg, VA.

Manager, IE and Technical

Onsite – Blacksburg, VA

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in an industrial engineering role.
• Proficient personal computer use and knowledge of database infrastructure and enterprise information systems software.
• Experience with statistical and continuous‑improvement tools, cost improvements, removing bottlenecks, and root‑cause analysis.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all organizational levels.
• Analytical and project‑management skills.
• Proficient in pulling data queries and performing analysis in Microsoft Excel.

• Maintain confidential information.
• Perform cost analysis of manufacturing data.
• Aid in cycle‑time updates.
• Support new opportunities for cost reduction and production efficiency.
• Maintain best practices and prepare analysis of actual versus budget hours.
• Recommend general operating practices to improve efficiencies and participate on cross‑functional teams.
• Use understanding of manufacturing business processes to support capacity planning.
• Work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Blacksburg, VA $65,000.00–$80,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Moog’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region‑specific benefits.
