Overview
Data Analysis and Web Visualization Specialist. The Department of Forest Resources and Environmental Conservation in the College of Natural Resources and Environment seeks a Data Analysis and Web Visualization Specialist for the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities- Assist faculty, staff, and graduate students with data analysis, visualization, and communication for research, teaching, and outreach projects.
- Develop and support web-based tools and displays, including interactive tools such as R Shiny.
- Maintain and modernize/update existing departmental online assets and web content such as the Virginia Big Tree Program and the Virginia Tech Dendrology websites.
- Develop and deliver training and provide consultation to department members on data analysis workflows, visualization, and digital tools.
