Striping and Plate Coating Technician (Temp to Hire) – Tech Lab
Join our team at the Techlab site, part of the SSI Diagnostica Group, as a Striping and Plate Coating Technician and help shape the future of healthcare technology. This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful innovations in a collaborative environment focused on improving patient outcomes. This position will work through a staffing agency until satisfactory completion of the requirement for transfer to hire.
TheOpportunity
The job is to work with various machines to aid in device/ELISA production. The Technician reports directly to the Production Lab Supervisor and or Production Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Follow Master Batch Records strictly
- Manufacture/Package products per approved Master Batch Records
- Operate equipment/instrumentation as specified in Standard Operating Procedures
- Perform daily/weekly/monthly cleaning(s) as required per Standard Operating Procedures
- Document results and completion of tasks on Master Batch Records and Tech Lab Forms
- Immediately Report any Non-Conformity to Team Leader/Manager/QA/Supervisor
- Recommend proposed changes as Document Circulation Requests
- Work in batching area to mix the reagent/plate solutions needed for the day per the Master Batch Record
- Weigh chemicals needed per the Master Batch Record
- Recognize issues with striping and plate coating machines
- Ensure that all product is labeled correctly
- Assist with Master Batch Record calculations when necessary
- Wear proper personal protective equipment
- Notify Striping and Plate Coating Team Leader/ Production Lab Supervisor and or Production Manager/ Equipment Maintenance when machine issues arise
- Assist in other Manufacturing areas as needed
- Previous Laboratory Bench Work or Machine Operation Preferred
- Basic Computer Literacy
- Mechanical Aptitude
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Autoclave
- Sealer
- Basic lab equipment
The role involves working in areas with high and low humidity levels. Eye drops, gloves, and other necessary items will be provided if necessary. An employee in this position must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. A typical workweek is Monday through Friday 8:00 to 4:30 or 8:30 to 5:00. Overtime is occasionally necessary with or without advance notice.
