APP ( NP or PA - Specialty Practice- General Surgery

Job Summary

A full‑time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) opportunity is available within a General Surgery specialty practice. This role includes assisting two surgeons and managing an independent clinic. The schedule is primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The provider will deliver comprehensive surgical patient care, support perioperative management, and collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare team members.

• Assist surgeons in clinical and perioperative patient care
• Conduct independent clinic visits, including patient assessments and follow‑ups
• Obtain and document comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studies
• Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations
• Provide pre‑operative and post‑operative care and education
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical record systems
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

• Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Experience:
  • None required
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Current Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP) or Physician Assistant license
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (if applicable to NP)
  • DEA license
  • AHA BLS‑HCP certification required
  • Advanced Life Support certification preferred
  • Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with state regulations
• Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare providers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record systems
