On the Medical Surgical Floor—also known as the Medical Surgical Ward or General Medical Unit—the Med Surg Nurse Manager will guide operations in a 400-bed acute-care environment known for Health grades Patient Safety and Surgical Care Excellence Awards and accreditation as a Primary Stroke Center. Core accountabilities for a Med Surg Nurse Manager include strategic staffing and scheduling, hiring and retention, budgeting and resource stewardship, throughput and length‑of‑stay optimization, survey readiness, patient experience excellence, and quality improvement across CLABSI/CAUTI reduction, falls and pressure‑injury prevention, sepsis bundles, and evidence-based practice.
