Nursing staff run labs that are ordered. Procedures performed on unit include: applying OCLs, breathing treatments, and conscious sedation. NRP preferred but not required.
Description:
The emergency department has 11 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1. Staffing includes 2 day shift nurses, 2 mid-shift nurses, and 2 night shift nurses. Type of equipment includes POC lab model, EKG, ventilator, pumps, glucometer, and cardiac monitors. The documentation system used is Meditech. Three 12-hour shifts per week and four 12-hour weekend shifts per month are required. Floating policy is not applicable.
Patient experience requirement is 80% or above. Successful candidates will enjoy working with experienced staff and have options for scheduling flexibility. Dress code requires navy blue scrubs. Unit specific policies and guidelines will be provided during orientation. Awards and recognition information will be available for prospective candidates.
