Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Night Shift

Location:

Blacksburg, VA Job Type: Full-Time Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate, and individualized nursing care to residents.
  • Assess residents' needs and provide care according to established care plans and clinical standards.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered and within the scope of licensure.
  • Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns appropriately.
  • Document resident care, assessments, medications, treatments, and changes in condition accurately.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Assist with maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Respond appropriately to resident needs and emergencies.
  • Support residents' dignity, independence, comfort, and overall quality of life.
  • Communicate effectively during shift changes and maintain continuity of care.
  • Perform other nursing duties consistent with the scope of practice and position requirements.
Qualifications Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Current, unrestricted LPN license in Virginia in good standing.
  • Strong interest in providing care to older adults.
  • Long-term care/SNF experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced care environment.
Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Current, unrestricted RN license in Virginia in good standing.
  • Strong interest in providing care to older adults.
  • Long-term care/SNF experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Experience
  • 1-3 years of long-term care experience is preferred but not required.
  • Candidates with experience in skilled nursing, nursing homes, assisted living, rehabilitation, or other senior-care settings are encouraged to apply.
