Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Night Shift
Location:
Blacksburg, VA Job Type: Full-Time Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and individualized nursing care to residents.
- Assess residents' needs and provide care according to established care plans and clinical standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered and within the scope of licensure.
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns appropriately.
- Document resident care, assessments, medications, treatments, and changes in condition accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Assist with maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Respond appropriately to resident needs and emergencies.
- Support residents' dignity, independence, comfort, and overall quality of life.
- Communicate effectively during shift changes and maintain continuity of care.
- Perform other nursing duties consistent with the scope of practice and position requirements.
- Current, unrestricted LPN license in Virginia in good standing.
- Strong interest in providing care to older adults.
- Long-term care/SNF experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced care environment.
- Current, unrestricted RN license in Virginia in good standing.

- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- 1-3 years of long-term care experience is preferred but not required.
- Candidates with experience in skilled nursing, nursing homes, assisted living, rehabilitation, or other senior-care settings are encouraged to apply.
