Accentuate Staffing is partnering with an innovative biotech organization focused on advancing next-generation organ transplantation technologies. This team is working at the forefront of xenotransplantation, utilizing genetically modified porcine cells to improve compatibility with the human immune system. They are seeking a hands‑on Research Technician to support critical cell‑based and immunological assays in a fast‑paced lab environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine mammalian cell culture, including maintaining, passaging, expanding, and cryopreserving primary cell lines
  • Execute flow cytometry assays to evaluate antibody binding and immune response to modified cells
  • Support immune‑based assays, including ELISA and co‑culture systems (e.g., MLR assays)
  • Handle and process porcine tissue and blood samples, as well as human‑derived biological materials, following BSL‑2 safety standards
  • Prepare reagents, maintain lab inventory, and ensure proper lab organization and sterilization practices
  • Document experimental procedures and results in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines
  • Assist in optimizing and refining protocols to support ongoing research and compliance needs
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field
  • 3+ years of laboratory experience
  • Minimum 1+ year of hands‑on mammalian cell culture experience (maintenance, passaging, cryopreservation required)
  • Practical experience with flow cytometry (sample prep and running assays required; analysis is a plus)
  • Comfortable working with animal‑derived samples, including pig tissue and blood
  • Experience working in a BSL‑2 or regulated lab environment preferred
  • Exposure to immunology assays (ELISA, MLR, etc.) is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols independently
  • Ability to manage multiple lab tasks in a fast‑paced environment
