Job Description
A postdoctoral associate position in the area of organoid design and single-cell methodologies is available in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Virginia Tech (Blacksburg, VA, USA). The primary focus of the postdoctoral associate will be to integrate organoid development with single-cell omics methodologies. The postdoctoral associate will have opportunities to collaborate with experts in AI and machine learning. The post-doctoral associate will also be responsible for data management and dissemination of scientific results.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative and interdisciplinary team at Virginia Tech, which integrates organoids, materials, and single-cell transcriptomics.
Responsibilities- Integrate organoid development with single-cell omics methodologies.
- Collaborate with experts in AI and machine learning.
- Manage data and disseminate scientific results.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to integrate organoids, materials, and single-cell transcriptomics.
- PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or related field.
- PhD must be awarded no more than four years prior to the effective date of appointment with a minimum of one year eligibility remaining.
- Strong background and knowledge in organoid development.
- Strong background and knowledge in cell-based methodologies.
- Strong track record in scientific productivity and publications.
- Experience and background in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with single-cell omics technologies.
- Prior experience in multi-disciplinary projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate with investigators in other disciplines.
Exempt:
Not eligible for overtime.
Restricted.
Salary InformationStarting at $62,232; commensurate with experience.
Hours per week40.
