The Neuroscience Sales Specialist has overall responsibility for meeting or exceeding sales expectations within their assigned territories in an ethical and compliant manner. The role involves developing product and disease-state knowledge, creating and managing territory plans, engaging healthcare professionals, managing budgets, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
Job Responsibilities- Drive sales performance in compliance with guidelines to meet or exceed forecasts within assigned territory.
- Customize client interactions based on customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner.
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of local market, practice structures, evolving customers, and key influencers; share information with internal stakeholders.
- Provide input into resource allocation decisions and select appropriate programs/resources for customers.
- Work with Regional Business Manager and key stakeholders to develop a local business plan that ensures achievement of all business objectives.
- Collaborate with other Neuroscience Sales Specialists on common objectives and best practices.
- Accurately manage administrative tasks including work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, communication responses, and sample/expense reporting.
- Build and inform a business plan based on depth and breadth of customer business needs, resources, and products.
- Complete all company and job-related training within required timelines.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in healthcare sales/account management, B2B sales, or recent transition from active-duty military.
- 3+ years of sales experience in specialty pharmaceuticals preferred.
- Launch, antipsychotic, and/or bipolar sales experience highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Strong desire and passion for improving the lives of patients and caregivers; patient‑centric mindset.
- High integrity and adherence to company compliance policies.
- Self‑motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial spirit, excellent decision‑making, and strong teamwork/collaboration skills.
- Track record of success in adapting to evolving environments (e.g., Covid‑19).
- Agility in the changing telemedicine/virtual environment.
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to assess progress, diagnose performance issues, and identify new opportunities.
- Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to diverse audiences.
- Availability for meetings outside normal working hours, occasional overnight travel, and domestic travel to corporate headquarters and training.
