The Town of Blacksburg is seeking a Transit Mechanic to inspect, repair, and maintain transit vehicles. Work is performed under the supervision of the Lead Mechanic and this role is essential during designated events.
Shifts include 3:30 pm–12:00 am or 7:30 am–4:00 pm on a rotating weekend schedule. Starting range is $45,330 to $47,161 annually, with duties spanning inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and on-call service.
