Meet the TeamAs a Co‑op student on Torc’s System Triage team, you will evaluate performance data and test results from real‑world on‑road testing and autonomous driving system (ADS) simulations. You will gain hands‑on experience with embedded system triaging and broad exposure to modern autonomous vehicle workflows, including investigating training data anomalies for machine learning (ML) components.
Responsibilities- Behavioral Analysis & Simulation
- Analyze autonomous vehicle behaviors from public roads and closed‑course testing.
- Utilize simulation tools to identify edge‑case scenarios and export them into datasets for ML model improvement.
- Perform counterfactual simulations of selected events and share analysis with Safety, System V&V, and ML teams.
- Triage, tracking, and metric reporting for system anomalies and test escapes.
- Leverage 3D visualization tools to analyze sensor data, uncover complex issues, and identify root causes.
- Tooling & Process Optimization
- Collaborate on tooling requirements for efficient triage, root‑cause analysis, metric reporting, and data visualization.
- Maintain defect management process, optimize workflows, and ensure high‑quality bug ticketing.
- Support rapid integration and deployment schedule, contributing to consistent software stack releases for testing teams.
- Work closely within the team and collaborate cross‑functionally to provide a swift, responsive feedback loop to core development teams.
- Onsite work in Torc office on a hybrid schedule (3 days a week in office).

- Pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field. Demonstrated competencies typically acquired through 0‑3+ years of experience.
