Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, administrative assistant, or related field.
OR
Combination of education and experience equivalent to two (2) year of experience in a customer-focused position.
Regular and reliable attendance is a necessary component of job/position. Individuals required to use County vehicles and equipment must have a valid driver’s license and be free of any major traffic violations for the last three (3) years.
Under supervision, provides customer service to internal and external customers, answers questions, responds to email, and answers multi-line phone system. Verifies data in computerized systems and assists with troubleshooting simple issues. Updating and maintaining client data in system records. Performs a variety of additional administrative support tasks to the area of assignment. Supports a diverse, respectful, and inclusive workplace.
Administrative Responsibilities- Maintains records and files in multiple databases. Contacts state entities for data verification and maintenance.
- Provides trouble‑shooting assistance on computers, software applications, office equipment, and provides technology support in conference rooms.
- Provides computer and office equipment support to department users.
- Provides administrative support to Adult & Family Services staff and leadership.
- Answers phone lines for health housing and human services.
- Sorts and scans mail into the electronic management system.
- Knowledge of office procedures and equipment.
- Knowledge of policies, regulations, procedures, and practices pertaining to the area of specialization.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Skill in the use of computers and technology.
- Ability to perform administrative tasks.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information.
- Ability to enter data quickly and accurately, with attention to detail.
- Ability to organize and prioritize daily work tasks while experiencing multiple interruptions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to recommend solutions to problems.
