North Country Auto Body & Mechanical in Hugo, MN is looking for a talented and motivated automotive mechanic/tech for immediate hire. North Country has been in business for 33 years. We specialize in auto collision repair and have a full mechanical shop. At North Country we take pride in our excellent customer service and our high repair standards. Servicing the Hugo area and surrounding communities we see a wide variety of all makes and models along with several fleet accounts that we have established.

• Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds.
• Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head.
• Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle’s needed repair.
• Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools.
• Walk/stand for the majority of their workday.
• Drive manual transmissions vehicles.
• Efficiently navigate a computer.

• Positive attitude and a desire to serve customers.
• 3+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic.
• ASE Certifications preferred, or a plan to achieve within the first 12 months.
• Capable of analyzing and diagnosing all makes/models of vehicles.
• Meet or exceed hourly goals.
• Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
• Professional appearance and strong communication.
• A desire for long-term career development.
• Tools are not provided, Candidate must have their own tools.
• ADAS experience helpful, or at least some understanding of it.
• Willing to do or learn to do your own service writing.

• Technicians use their knowledge & skills to diagnose and fix vehicles for our customers.
• Work as part of a team to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively.
• Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
• Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate customer concerns.
• Work together with other employees to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results.
