Operations Manager
LHH is seeking an Order Support Specialist
, a specialized construction/HVAC manufacturing organization. This frontline role supports customers, contractors, and internal warehouse and production teams to ensure smooth order processing and timely delivery.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands‑on work environment, is comfortable in a warehouse setting (not a corporate office), and can maintain strong relationships while managing a fast‑moving workflow.
What You’ll Do- Serve as the primary point of contact between customers, contractors, warehouse staff, and internal teams.
- Manage order entry, tracking, scheduling, and status updates from start to finish.
- Handle shipping coordination
, working with carriers and warehouse staff to ensure on‑time and accurate deliveries. - Assist with invoicing
, order documentation, and follow‑up on shipment issues or delays. - Proactively monitor and communicate order status to installers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Support quality assurance
, reviewing documentation and shipment details for accuracy. - Collaborate daily with CAD, accounting, production, and warehouse teams to resolve workflow or order issues.
- Maintain steady, professional communication—even under pressure or when resolving difficult customer situations.
- Experience in construction, HVAC, electrical, or manufacturing industries is strongly preferred and greatly beneficial.
- A true frontline personality
: positive, approachable, resilient, and confident in tough conversations. - Thick‑skinned and adaptable — able to “roll with the punches” as priorities change.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment (this is not a polished corporate office).
- Strong communicator who ensures all parties stay informed: customers, contractors, CAD, owners, warehouse, and accounting.
- Thrives in a quiet, heads‑down team culture
, yet can drive communication when needed.
- Small, close-knit team of ~14 employees, including:
- Owners
- CAD team
- Accounting
- Warehouse staff
- Frequent face‑to‑face communication with warehouse and office staff.
- Construction/HVAC/electrical industry background
- Experience with order fulfillment or shipping coordination
- Prior work with contractors or field technicians
- Strong communication & documentation habits
- Ability to thrive in a hands‑on, non‑office environment
