Mora High School is seeking an Industrial Technology Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and automotive careers and hands‑on learning techniques. This full‑time position requires a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement, creativity, and critical thinking. The teacher will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive curriculum.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and school curriculum.
  • Teach students the fundamentals of manufacturing and automotive careers, including safety protocols, tool usage, and project management.
  • Facilitate hands‑on learning experiences through lab activities, projects, and demonstrations.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff to integrate technology and engineering concepts across various subjects.
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, ensuring all equipment and materials are used responsibly.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students interested in pursuing careers in industrial technology and related fields.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements to ensure curriculum relevance and effectiveness.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Requirements
  • Valid teaching licensure in Manufacturing Careers and Transportation Careers.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial technology concepts, tools, and practices.
  • Experience in teaching or working in an educational setting preferred.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans and hands‑on activities that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working with high school students.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities and community outreach programs related to industrial technology.
