key subject leadership role

As Head of English, you will be responsible for leading and developing the English department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, supporting colleagues, developing the curriculum and overseeing assessment and student outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Head of Department looking to take on an international leadership position in a unique and rapidly developing destination.

• Subject related Bachelors Degree + PGCE and QTSor equivalent
• Minimum 5 years' teaching experience in English Literature and Language
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Head of Department or in a similar subject leadership role
• Experience teaching English at GCSE level is essential
• Experience teaching KS5 / A Level English is desirable
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the Cambridge International Curriculum
• Proven experience leading and developing an English department
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Proven track record of achieving strong student outcomes
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to support and develop teaching staff

• $2,900 - $4,100 (£2,100 - £3,000)
  NETsalary per month, depending on experience +$100 monthly stipend allowance
• Initial two-year contract
