Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Behavior Intervention Specialist for the school year in a dynamic district setting. This full-time, onsite position involves providing vital support across multiple school sites, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to make a meaningful impact on student success. Training begins August 25, 2026, with students starting September 8, and the assignment continues through June 10, 2027, averaging 37.5 hours per week with typical hours from 8:30 AM to 4:10 PM.

Qualifications:
- Valid BCBA or Special Education teaching license (Tier 3 or 4 required for SpEd Teacher applicants)
- Previous experience as a Behavioral Specialist or direct experience implementing positive behavioral interventions in educational settings
- Expertise conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavioral intervention plans
- Ability to communicate effectively and foster collaboration with staff, administrators, and other professionals
- Flexibility to support 3-4 assigned school sites and travel as needed within the district
- Strong skills in using data to inform decision-making and instructional planning
- Calm demeanor, skilled in de-escalation and crisis response
- Familiarity with legal and district compliance regarding student support, including IEP development and implementation
Core Responsibilities:
- Design, consult, and implement positive behavioral interventions and supports
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate closely with team members to support student progress and a safe learning environment
- Provide ongoing training and guidance to staff regarding behavioral best practices
- Employ data-driven strategies to monitor interventions and adjust as necessary
- Utilize positive reinforcement techniques and restrict procedures when required, always prioritizing safety
