Job Overview

As a Sr Laboratory Technician, you will collaborate with innovative 3

Mers worldwide, configuring, operating, and maintaining processes and equipment involving web mechanics, coating and/or printing, drying, curing, analysis, and characterization. You will conduct designed experiments to support lead researchers, work independently and with multidisciplinary team members, and make recommendations regarding material formulation and process modifications.

• Configure, operate, and maintain processes and equipment incorporating web mechanics, coating and/or printing, drying, curing, analysis, and characterization.
• Conduct designed experiments to support lead researchers and develop a thorough understanding of how materials and process parameters affect final product properties.
• Work independently and with multidisciplinary team members.
• Make recommendations regarding material formulation and/or process modifications.

• High school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
• Two (2) years of technician experience.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

• Associate degree or two‑year technical degree from an accredited institution.
• Four (4) or more years of laboratory experience conducting product performance testing.
• Experience testing adhesives, tapes, laminates, or other coated materials.
• Familiarity with adhesive and tape test methods such as peel, tack, shear, tensile, or environmental aging evaluations.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, initiative, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Office: 3M Center, Maplewood, MN. The role requires on‑site work at least four days a week.

Travel:
May include up to 5%.

Expected compensation range: $75,064 – $91,745 (base pay plus variable incentive pay if eligible).
