We're looking for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of custom automation equipment for the medical device and life sciences industries. This is a technical leadership role focused on machine design, mentoring engineers, and supporting projects from concept through build.
What You'll Do- Lead mechanical design for custom automation systems
- Develop concepts, proposals, and technical solutions
- Mentor engineers and support project teams
- Conduct design reviews and engineering analysis
- Create/review drawings, BOMs, and documentation
- Partner with suppliers on component selection
- Support customer meetings and business development
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 6+ years of custom automation or special machine design experience
- Strong machine design, GD&T, BOM, and manufacturing knowledge
- Experience with pneumatics and machine safety
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Solid Works (required preference)
- AutoCAD/Draft Sight
- Solid Works Simulation or FEA
- ERP/PDM experience (EPDM preferred)
- ISO 9001 or GAMP experience
- Previous engineering leadership
- PE license is a plus
- Influence engineering strategy and innovation
- Mentor talented engineering teams
