We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing precision manufacturing operation in Blaine, MN. This is a high-impact engineering role where you’ll serve as a technical SME for CNC machining, lead complex manufacturing programs, and drive process improvements across the site.
You’ll work closely with customers, production, engineering, and suppliers to develop robust manufacturing processes, support new product launches, improve existing operations, and implement advanced manufacturing technologies.
What You’ll Do- Serve as the site Subject Matter Expert in CNC machining and precision manufacturing.
- Lead complex programs including NPI, multi-line launches, automation/robotics, and CAPEX projects.
- Develop, optimize, and validate manufacturing processes for complex precision components.
- Design and build fixtures, work holding, and manufacturing solutions.
- Apply DFM principles to improve manufacturability, quality, cost, and throughput.
- Troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead engineering and supplier change requests (ECRs) and evaluate cross-functional impacts.
- Develop and standardize work instructions, routers, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
- Establish engineering standards and best practices across the facility.
- Work directly with customers to translate technical and contract requirements into validated manufacturing processes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop other engineers and technical team members.
- Support automation, equipment selection, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent technical experience.
- 4+ years of manufacturing/process engineering experience within precision manufacturing, aerospace, medical device, or a similar industry.
- Strong hands‑on experience with CNC machining and precision manufacturing processes.
- Advanced knowledge of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, tolerancing, and manufacturing documentation.
- Experience designing fixtures and work holding solutions.
- Experience with Solid Works or similar CAD software.
- Proven experience leading capital projects, process improvements, NPI, or other large‑scale manufacturing initiatives.
