We are seeking a hands‑on Director of Rehabilitation to lead therapy services within a skilled nursing facility in Le Sueur, Minnesota. This is a treating leadership position that combines patient care with team supervision, department operations, program development, and quality oversight.

An Occupational Therapy Assistant is strongly preferred, although licensed Occupational Therapists will also be considered.

Compensation
  • Director-level OTA: $33–$38 per hour
  • Staff-level OTA: $28–$35 per hour
  • Student loan assistance, a sign‑on bonus, or a combination may be available
  • Compensation for Occupational Therapists will be based on experience

Le Sueur is approximately 35 minutes from Shakopee and 30 minutes from Mankato.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the rehabilitation department
  • Provide patient care in accordance with professional licensure and scope of practice
  • Supervise, support, train, and evaluate therapy staff
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels and coordinate therapist and patient schedules
  • Manage departmental performance, productivity, and budget expectations
  • Complete quality assurance reports, documentation audits, and compliance reviews
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans when needed
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and strengthen therapy programs
  • Lead staff meetings, in‑services, and educational programs
  • Collaborate with facility leadership, healthcare professionals, patients, families, and caregivers
  • Assist with authorizations, insurance claims, denials, and reimbursement matters as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical and operational documentation
  • Support employee training related to compliance, communication, and clinical quality
  • Monitor equipment maintenance and department supply levels
  • Promote a positive, patient‑centered environment focused on high‑quality care
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy or Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current or eligible for Minnesota licensure
  • Previous therapy leadership or management experience preferred
  • Five years of clinical therapy experience preferred
  • Experience supporting a multidisciplinary rehabilitation department is a plus
  • Strong communication, organization, and team‑development skills
  • Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with direct patient care
