Facilities Maintenance Site Manager
Efficiency and reliability are the pillars of our success. Amentum is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Site Manager to drive our preventive maintenance programs and optimize our facility operations. You will manage substantial budgets, supervise critical infrastructure repairs, and implement sustainable practices that reduce costs while maintaining the highest standards of safety. This role directly impacts our bottom line.
Responsibilities- Strategic Planning and System Optimization.
- Develop, implement, and audit comprehensive preventive maintenance (PM) programs to extend the lifecycle of critical assets and minimize unplanned downtime.
- Monitor condition and performance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to lead long‑term capital replacement planning.
- Leverage facility management software (CMMS) to streamline work order workflows, improve response times, and track maintenance KPIs.
- Perform routine walk‑downs of job activities to ensure safety protocols and quality expectations are met.
- Direct daily maintenance, repair, and improvement of all building systems, including HVAC, fire/life safety, and power distribution.
- Source, negotiate, and manage third‑party service contracts, ensuring external partners meet strict safety and quality standards.
- Ensure facility compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and maintain a high standard of workplace safety.
- Manage the facilities O&M budget, identifying cost‑saving opportunities through energy efficiency and strategic sourcing.
- Supervise a multidisciplinary team of technicians and staff, providing technical mentorship, performance evaluations, and ongoing safety training.
- Analyze facility data and utility trends to optimize resource consumption and support corporate sustainability goals.
- Maintain a positive client relationship and understand partnership needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Facility Management, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Eight years of experience in industrial facilities maintenance, or 5+ years of facility operations/maintenance experience with supervisory responsibilities.
- Working knowledge of purchasing and vendor management.
- Experience utilizing CMMS and Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to create PowerPoint presentations and present to large audiences.
- Staff management experience, including hiring, performance appraisal, and disciplinary action.
- Experience creating performance metrics and data mining for driving results.
- Ability to proactively identify problems or opportunities, analyze issues, develop alternatives, and execute optimal solutions.
- Predictive maintenance experience (infrared scanning, ultrasonic, vibration and oil analysis, lifecycle studies, root‑cause analysis, etc.).
- Experience managing a budget and contract negotiation.
- Experience in new business start‑ups.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Certification or formal training from Facility Maintenance Organizations such as IFMA, AFE, or BOMA.
- Experience working in a GMP or similar regulated environment.
- Vibration Analysis training and certification; CMRP certification; STS certification.
- Qualified applicants must pass a pre‑employment substance abuse test.
- This position may require a valid driver’s license and various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.
- Must obtain a security access badge at the client location.
- Physical requirements include repetitive wrist movement, walking extensive areas, climbing ladders, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and handling light to medium weight materials.
- Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Compensation range: $70,000–$80,000 per annum.
