Material Handler, Forklift Operator
Job Overview
Forklift Drivers perform a variety of material handling duties in the warehouse to support production and shipping activities. They load and unload trailers, operate a range of powered industrial trucks, process customer orders, maintain accurate inventory, and uphold Good Manufacturing Practices.
Position Responsibilities- Move materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse areas.
- Operate powered industrial trucks including sit‑down forklifts, tank movers, Drexel, swing reach, and rider pallet jacks.
- Load and unload trailers with components, raw materials, and finished goods.
- Process customer orders, perform cycle counts, and conduct bin‑to‑bin transactions using SAP.
- Verify accuracy of materials and pick items in a timely manner.
- Follow trained work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels within the warehouse.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment, including general housekeeping.
- Assist in processing recycled materials, operating compactor equipment, and pallet management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred general warehouse experience.
- Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate Microsoft Windows Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English (reading and writing).
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Medium physical effort required: lift up to 50 lbs and carry up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to stand for several hours daily.
- Problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
Hourly range: $17.75 to $27.75. Exact hourly rate depends on experience, skills, education, and budget, and may vary by location. The position may also be eligible for annual discretionary bonus, educational budget, and other incentives.
