Assembler B – 2nd Shift – Blaine, MN

The Assembler B performs line component assembly and sub-assembly, material and final washing, rework and repair operations, and pallet loading. The role assists in maintaining quality and manufacturing processes to meet company objectives and customer satisfaction.

Your main responsibilities

  • Prepare work by studying job packets and work instructions; utilize available parts, sub-assemblies, tools and materials to manufacture and test products
  • Examine parts for correct fit and assemble parts and sub-assemblies per the work instructions
  • Verify specifications through visual inspection and through use of automated measuring/monitoring equipment and final test equipment
  • Demonstrate capability to meet standard levels of productivity
  • Proactively resolve problems related to meeting specifications and communicate to Lead or Supervisor to obtain additional resources
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms (e.g., scrap tags)
  • Escalate issues to Lead or Supervisor when execution of standard work is prevented (e.g., worn or missing tools, equipment issues, missing components, quality issues)
  • Initiate programs and operate test stands
  • Assist Engineering in troubleshooting general issues
  • Maintain product quality by following established procedures (standard work, scrap procedure) and customer requirements
  • Promote and maintain a clean and safe work environment by complying with procedures, policies, and regulations; notify Lead or Supervisor of problems
  • Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Participate and contribute to team effort toward daily metrics posted in specific work areas
  • Maintain daily housekeeping to promote a clean, productive environment
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Lead or Supervisor

Other Duties

  • Engage in safety practices and maintain a clean, safe work environment and quality products
  • Back-up coverage for absences when qualified and trained
  • Read and interpret safety rules, operating and machining instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as needed
  • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Work Environment

Exposure to a manufacturing environment, including exposure to oils and cleaners, loud noises (hearing protection in select areas), moving parts, equipment, and coolants. Eye protection is required in all plant work areas; slip-resistant safety shoes are recommended.

Physical Demands

Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds; walking, standing, balancing, stooping, or crouching. Ability to stand for 10-12 hours per day.

Qualifications

Working knowledge of computers with willingness to advance skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willing to work overtime and weekends as required. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. On-the-job training provided for entry level position.

Education

High School Degree or Equivalent

Competitive Compensation

  • Hourly pay: $21.11 per hour with the ability to earn up to $24.00
