We are hiring a Metal Lab Technician to support our foundry manufacturing operations. This role focuses on material testing, equipment maintenance, and ensuring high‑quality standards throughout the lab process. The position offers competitive hourly pay based on experience.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; certificate or vocational education preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills and experience in quality control.
  • Ability to work in a foundry manufacturing facility.
  • Experience with spectrometer or tensile tester usage is an advantage.
Responsibilities
  • Verify properties of aluminum and steel using spectrometer, tensile tester, and conductivity tester.
  • Prepare metallurgical samples for review by a qualified metallurgist.
  • Utilize a lathe to create clean, smooth surfaces for testing.
  • Perform maintenance on testing equipment and log data accurately.
  • Process casting materials that have been deemed ready for rework and perform testing on dry and green sand samples.
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure products move through the lab quickly while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Assist in training on 1st shift and transition to 2nd shift long‑term.
