Job DetailsWe are seeking a dynamic, highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our innovative engineering team. This is a permanent, first shift position, offering an exciting opportunity to work with advanced technology in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) equipment to produce precision components. You will work closely with our design and production teams to ensure the highest quality of work, meeting strict deadlines and maintaining our company's reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities- Develop and write precise CNC programs using Mastercam for manufacturing various parts and components.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring they run efficiently and produce high-quality parts.
- Use precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers to inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
- Apply knowledge of tool and die to create and modify fixtures and tooling.
- Use CMM equipment for part inspection and validation, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines and programs.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve production processes and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Continually update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a CNC programming role in the engineering industry.
- 2 or 4 year Tech Degree required (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in programming with Mastercam software.
- Demonstrated experience with precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Extensive knowledge of tool and die, including the ability to create and modify fixtures and tooling.
- Experience with CMM equipment for part inspection and validation.
- Strong understanding of CNC machine setup and operation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
