Salary: $20 - $33 per hour
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CNC Mill Turn Operator for our 2nd shift. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic team in the engineering industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines and ensuring the production of high-quality parts by performing accurate machine adjustments. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical inspection, and a keen eye for detail.
The candidate will be working with 5 Axis, Lathe, Calipers, Micrometers, Tool And Die, Mastercam, CMM, and Tooling.
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
- Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.
- Translate instructions into computer commands to ensure the machines can perform the correct function.
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
- Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations, including wearing protective equipment and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Mill Turn Operator or similar role in the engineering industry.
- Proven experience with 5 Axis, Lathe, Calipers, Micrometers, Tool And Die, Mastercam, CMM, and Tooling.
- Sound knowledge of mechanical systems, mathematics, and technical schematics.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong understanding of quality control procedures and standards.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of performance in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline is a plus.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work overtime if necessary.
