Advanced Practice Provider - Colorectal Surgery
Park Nicollet is looking for exceptional, patient focused Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Colorectal Surgery team and make a difference for our patients and our community.
The Department of Colorectal Surgery at Park Nicollet Clinic is seeking 1.0 FTE Surgical Advanced Practice Provider to join their colorectal surgery team. In this collaborative position you will assist colorectal surgeons at Methodist Hospital (St. Louis Park, MN) and Park Nicollet Burnsville Clinic. Candidates must have graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program. SURGICAL EXPERIENCE PREFERRED.
Work ScheduleMonday
- Friday Clinic Hours. No weekends, No Holidays, No Call
- Conduct initial consultations including history, physical examination, and ordering relevant diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement patient care plans based on clinical assessment and diagnosis.
- Perform post-operative care and follow-up, including wound care, suture removal, and monitoring for complications.
- Perform minor surgical procedures independently, such as incision and drainage of abscesses, removal of small skin lesions, and wound debridement.
- Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, post-operative care, and recovery expectations.
- Provide counseling on lifestyle modifications, medication management, and preventive health measures.
- Address patient concerns and answer questions regarding their treatment plans and recovery.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and clinic efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with clinic protocols, regulatory requirements, and best practice guidelines.
- Monitor and report adverse events, complications, and other clinical issues to maintain patient safety.
$- $ Annually based on a 1.0 FTE
Pay Range StatementCompensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Pay within our ranges may also be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities as well as internal equity.
