Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Trauma & Surgical Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community.

This unit is very fast paced. Patients on this general/progressive surgical, specialties surgical and trauma care unit include: trauma, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputations, colorectal, non-trauma emergent surgery, oncology surgical, plastics surgical, GYN surgical & surgical patients requiring BiPaP, tracheostomies, laryngectomies, complex wounds and/or bedside telemetry. We care for patients age 16 and above.

Our Professional Nursing Practice Model offers patient and family-centered care that maintains an unwavering focus on what matters most: caring and healing at the patient’s bedside. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice.

Regions Hospital supports nurses with an individualized orientation including Transition to Regions Hospital Practice program—a nurse residency structured program to support learning, role transition, and retention of nurses. All new hire registered nurses at Regions Hospital will be automatically enrolled. Our award-winning programs give our patients and their families a place of comfort and healing. Work Schedule: 0.70 Day/Night. 12 hour days every third weekend, nights during the week

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experience
  • Internal new graduate applicants can meet minimum requirements with an Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
  • CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
  • One year of acute care RN experience is preferred
