Lunds & Byerlys is currently hiring for a vibrant and outgoing full‑time Pastry Chef/Cake Decorator Apprentice to create a sensational shopping experience for our customers! This position works a full‑time schedule and earns a competitive wage of $(range)/hr.

We operate 7 days/week and are open from 6:00am‑10:00pm. For this position the employee would be scheduled a range of shifts between (TIME RANGE).

Our Pastry Chef/Cake Decorator Apprentices are responsible for a wide variety of tasks such as:

• Greeting and assisting customers
• Learn how to produce and merchandise pastries, traditional cakes, special occasion cakes, and specialty items
• Learn how to fulfill specialty orders for customers
• Learn how to manage inventory
• Assisting bakery staff with other miscellaneous tasks as needed
• Maintaining cleanliness of the department

• Team player - steps in to assist when and where as needed
• Respectful - empathetic and appreciative of our customers and team
• Innovative - implements trending and forward‑thinking retail solutions
• Hospitable - provides a friendly face and welcoming environment

• Education
  • Required:
    
    High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience
  • One year or more decorating and baking experience desired
• Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Computer Skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
