REGIONAL SALES MANAGER ABOUT YOU
As a Regional Sales Manager, you'll be at the helm of driving profitable and sustainable growth, leading a dynamic and independent sales force to success. This role is your opportunity to take charge of a key territory, managing the sales expense budget while crafting and executing ambitious financial plans. You'll be the visionary behind a multi-year growth strategy, ensuring your team not only meets but exceeds financial and operational targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop Profitable Sales
- Meet sales plan revenue, profitability and growth objectives.
- Deliver broad based sales performance and successfully execute marketing strategies across region.
- Develop and maintain high level of customer satisfaction throughout region including problem solving with accounts to deliver high service level.
- Effectively utilize all company resources including sales management, finance, training, legal and HR.
- Provide sales leadership and management within high opportunity and key accounts.
- Oversee Financial and Business Planning
- Analyze sales data; summarize sales and customer data.
- Effectively manage resources and sales territory financial and business plans.
- Create and manage multi-year growth plans for region.
- Execute and manage regional/sales representative business planning and performance throughout the sales region.
- Understand competition and implement competitive selling strategies.
- Identify and lead regional market, products and new opportunity development.
- Manage Budget
- Develop and manage sales expense budgets, with appropriate controls for profit/loss management.
- Effectively manage sales support dollars in alignment with company objectives.
- Effectively utilize reporting tools to track and manage regional results.
- Effectively utilize company resources.
- HR Planning:
Performance Management, Territory Transitions- Recruit, select, hire and develop sales talent.
- Deliver broad based and territory sales performance goals.
- Manage sales performance standards; provide performance feedback, manage performance deficiencies in a timely and effective manner.
- Communicate variety of information with sales reps.
- Implement compensation/incentive plans for reps.
- Make sales calls with reps; coach for continuous improvement.
- Implement human resource plan for region.
- Education
:
Bachelor's degree in Business, or a similar field, or equivalent experience. - Experience
: 5+ years in a consultative, program-oriented sales environment as a sales representative, preferably in Educational Sales. Professional experience in sales support, such as marketing, consulting, or program-based roles, may substitute for sales representative experience. Additionally, you have 2+ years of management experience with a proven track record of successful leadership. - Financial Acumen
:
Demonstrated experience managing P&L, understanding business levers, and producing management reports/sales tracking. You leverage market and financial data to drive results. - Strategic Management
:
Proven ability to strategically manage within a performance and results-based culture, with a strong grasp of pricing and legal skills/knowledge. - Selling Skills
: A talent for bringing value to the sales process, coupled with strong selling skills. - Technical Proficiency

You're proficient in technology and have strong project management capabilities. - Strategic Thinking

Typical/expected % of overnight travel up to 70%.
